We thought we'd do something fun for our first wine club of the year, and Spring 2022 is no exception.
To welcome in the warmer weather and brighter days, we wanted to do a collection of only sparkling pink wines. These delicious and refreshing wines are a party, and we hope you love them as much as we do!

- Vivanterre Pink Pet Nat

50% Gamay, 40% Syrah, 10% is made up of Pinot Gris, Pinot Blanc and Sylvaner

11% abv

Winemaking:
The Gamay grapes come from vineyards owned and farmed by Patrick Bouju and
Justine Loiseau, on the southern end of the Beaujolais appellation. The grapes undergo maceration on the skins for 5 days to extract color and fruit.
The Syrah grapes are from Roussillon, and underwent direct press. Pinot Gris and Pinot Blanc grapes hail from Heiligenstein in Alsace from the Goepp family. The grapes were planted on 30-year-old vines in a clay / blue stone terroir. The Sylvaner grapes come from Rosheim, also in Alsace, from a vineyard that is rich in limestone, with 60-year-old vines. All three varieties undergo direct press together. The Gamay were macerated on the skins, while the Syrah and white grapes underwent direct press, and all varieties were combined before fermentation was completed.

There was no fining, filtering, or SO2 added during any phase of winemaking. The harvesting, vinification, and elevage was done by Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau.

Tasting notes: red apples on a fall day juicy stone fruits, savory herbaceous earthiness - crisp and alive.

- Duckman Romy Pet Nat

100% Baga

12.5% ABV

4000 bottles made

Winemaking: From 30-year-old vines planted to several plots of chalky-clay soils in the São Lourenço and Óis do Bairro vineyards. The grapes are hand-harvested at the beginning of August, spontaneous fermentation takes place in stainless steel with ambient yeasts for three weeks without temperature control, no dosage. The wine is vinified in the traditional method and aged in bottle until released in April 2021. This wine is an homage to her mother that took care of the vines all her life. Bottled unfined, unfiltered with minimal SO2.

Tasting notes: Fresh strawberries, red apple, balanced minerality

- Das Juice Rose Pet Nat

Pinot Gris (40%), Sauvignon Blanc (30%) and Tempranillo (30%)

13.7% ABV

Winemaking:
A savoury blend from the Mornington Peninsula of skin macerated Pinot Gris, Sauvignon Blanc, and Tempranillo. The Gris was picked early and fermented on skins, once pressed it was joined by sauvignon blanc and fermented dry. The Tempranillo then came into the blend and was added to the wine as partially fermented juice and sealed up.

Tasting notes: A lovely savoury wine with grip, bright fruit and crunchy red apple characters.

- Delinquente Weeping Juan

90% Vermentino and 10% Nero d’Avola

11.5 % ABV

Winemaking: Each variety was picked and fermented separately, the final wine was blended and bottled just prior to the Nero d’Avola finishing ferment to create the Petillant Naturel style sparkling. Lighter in pink colour this year, it is unbelievably gorgeous in the glass.

Tasting notes: Super bright red fruit cutting through the citrus, stonefruit push of the Vermentino. Hazy blush in the glass, the nose gives wonderful yeastiness, super clean. The fine spritz just accentuates the fun vibes, a wine made for all-day and all-night crushing.
