ANNEX SPECTACULAR VERNACULAR MAIBOCK

This German-style lager is copper in colour, with a light toasted malt sweetness and a tangerine, honeydew aroma. This style originated in the German city of Eibeck in the 1400s and by the 1600s it had made its way to the Munich area of South Germany. With the bavarian accent of the region, it was pronounced more like “Einbock” meaning billy goat in German. Later shortened to Bock many classic examples of the style would feature goats on the labels. It lands at 6.7%, but is still very sessionable, and perfect for the patio.
