Another wine club exclusive from Julien Barge – from a long line of Côte-Rôtie winemakers, growing grapes in the area since 1860. This is a special bottling of this wine that massively over delivers for the price. The only vintage we will see of this wine as future bottling of this will be IGP Frontonas Syrah and a higher price point. An ambassador for the region and it’s wines, he was also the President of the Côte Rôtie Growers Syndicat. Under Julien’s direction the winery continues to bottle wines of utmost purity and simplicity. The Loch Ness is now dominated by syrah, sort of a declassified Cote Rotie, soft and plummy with great spice.
