“Il Bacialé,” in Piedmontese dialect, is the matchmaker, the one who arranges matches. It effectively represents an arranged marriage: we marry the family’s great love, Barbera, with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Cabernet Franc. And it’s a successful marriage, also destined to age well.

Braida’s “Bacialè” is a red wine made from a blend of Barbera and international varieties. Aged for 12 months in wooden vats and small barrels, it reveals a medium-bodied, refined, and warm wine, with a complex bouquet featuring notes of blackberries and plums and spicy nuances of pepper and cinnamon.
