Grapes: Trincadeira, Aragonez, Alfrocheiro, Periquita, Moreto and Tinta Caiada
Place: Alentejo, Portugal
This wine associates its quality to the name of the Carthusian [Cartuxos] monks who, between 1598 and 2019 led a solitary life of prayer in the Monastery of Santa Maria. Aged in oak wood, it is bold, yet approachable, with good structure, elegant and complex with dark plum, dried fig, mocha and tobacco wrapped up with firm tannins and a fruity finish.
Pairing: Argentine flank steak
