“Les Micouds” is the smallest terroir in Morgon by surface area. It was chosen by Jean-Etienne. It produces wines that combine fruitiness and suppleness. This cuvée has a brilliant color with garnet highlights. The nose exudes aromas of red and black fruits with a floral background. The palate is seductive and peppery, with vibrant juice and a luscious sensuality. Elegant tannins, silky texture. Long, fresh finish.
Traditional Beaujolais semi-carbonic maceration with one 10-minute pump-over per day, maceration for 7 to 9 days in concrete vats and aged 6 months in large oak barrels. Hold 2 to 15 years.
Notes of raspberries, chocolate, and spices — supple and succulent with excellent concentration, silky tannins with lovely acidity
Pairs well with all white and red meats. Grilled white meat, rib-eye steak, charcuterie and Lyonnaise specialties, hot sausage in red wine, rabbit stew, pot-au-feu, roast pork. Cheeses: Comté, Saint-Féliciens
