Fermented for more than 18 months in isolation from the rest of Deschutes’ beers, The Dissident is a distinctive Oud Bruin, Flanders-style brown ale, with a fruity aroma and flavour. It uses the wild yeast Brettanomyces, which takes a long times to ferment, 35% aged in barrels. Six months into the aging, Washington Cherries are added to the brew for addition flavouring.
