One of the best quality/price ratio for a Cru Classé from the famous Lurton family. The history of this chateau dates to the 19th century when the property was acquired by the Chabanneau family. In 1925 the Comte de Rivaud and Victor Place purchased the estate to restore the luster of the entire estate through major renovation work (drainage of the vineyard, raising the house, adding a tower & renovation of the cellars). Lucien Lurton finally took over in 1979 – the owner of a dozen Grands Crus in various Bordeaux appellations. Then in 1992, he passed on Château Bouscaut to his children. Hold 5-7 years
