LAS OLVIDADAS OLD VINE SERIES PAIS 2021

The Italian De Martino family arrived in Chile in 1934 with the aim of discovering the country’s vineyards and maximising the expression of each terroir. In a short time the winery became well-known and gained a reputation for being innovative. Among their great projects, the Old Vine Series stands out. It is estimated that they were planted 100 to 300 years ago. These are old vines on granite soils that are cultivated using ecological principles. The harvest is carried out manually at the optimum point of ripeness.

Aged 14 months in used French barriques that’s light-bodied yet deeply structured. Loaded with red fruits (pomegranate), florals, earth and herbal notes, with hints of spice and ripe strawberries. No added sulphites and native yeast for fermentation.

Pairings: wild boar or venison, mushroom and herb wood-fired pizza, tomato-based pasta dishes and aged cheeses
