NIEPOORT NAT COOL DOURADO

Grapes: Field Blend Place: Douro Valley, Northern Portugal, Portugal
Dourado is the new NAT’Cool orange wine, a white blend from a schistous vineyard in the Provesende area. After 10 days skin contact and native ferment in granite lagares, this finished ferment in cement where it remained on fine lees over 1 year. It then settled in stainless for 2 months, and was bottled with light filtration. Pouring a light golden hue, this light, bright wine streams elderflower, tangerine, subtle honeysuckle, white pepper along the buoyant palate, with a lingering fine stony, saline buzz. Quite charming, and a lovely wine.
