A fun Italian skin-contact wine from the crossroads of southern and northern Europe! Bordering Slovenia and Austria, is home to some of Italy’s most distinctive white grape varieties. Characterized by firm acidity and floral-fruity aromas. Poderi di Carlo allowed the wine to macerate on the grape skins for 7 days in amphora and oak vats, drawing out textural complexity and a lovely amber hue. The nose is a rollercoaster of aromas – golden yellow apple leads into hints of orange-blossom, jackfruit, and honey. Refreshingly crisp and delicately tannic on the palate, the finish is dry and persistently evolving. This is a great introduction to the wonderful world of ‘orange wine’ and the traditional wines of Friuli-Venezia Giulia.
