PRAIE IL CANNETO PIGATO

This white from the grape Pigato, native to Ligurian Riviera — related to the more familiar Vermentino grape. Grown on vines within a special micro-climate, over a volcanic vein, ensuring loads of flavour and bright acidity/minerality. Pigato’s characteristic notes of spice, mustard seed and honey mingled with mandarins, cedar, flowers, savoury and balsamic notes. The palate weight is medim to full with a pleasing, slight bitter note on the finish. A complex wine (36-72 hours of skin contact too…) that’s savoury, refreshing, complex, balanced and very interesting!

Pairings: fried fish, pizza, pesto dishes, vegetable omelettes and cheeses.
