PRUNUS PRIVATE SELECTION DAO

A blend of Portuguese varietals Jaen (80%), Tinta Roriz (10%), Alfrocheiro Preto (5%) and Touriga Nacional (5%), the Prunus is deeply pigmented, leading with dark fruit – Plums and Blackberries. There is a hint of oak and a discreet savory undertone.
Here is a surprisingly fulfilling cuvée! The palate displays a very juicy fruitiness with floral and spicy notes. Nothing complicated here, but it’s formidably effective. Nice debut for this young Portuguese project.

Pairing: kale and tuna pasta salad, pork, vegetable gratin
