A hint of reduction adds its flinty glint to the nose of this unusual, rich wine from a truly original Austrian grape. The palate offers hints of rose oil, pear and tangy lemon zest, with richer notions of dried lemon peel. It’s fluid, concentrated and almost oily-textured. ANNE KREBIEHL MW
