New vintage of a shop favourite. Villa Calcinaia is one of Chianti Classico’s historic estates, stewarded by the Capponi family since 1524. This food-friendly gem opens with complex aromas leading to a dry, medium-bodied, crisp palate with bright fruit picked flowers, stone fruits mingled with hints of ginger, honey and minerals. At just 11.5% alcohol, certified organic and with the ability to age up to 10 years… it’s traditional history in a bottle and fabulous.
Pairings: fish, shellfish, fried foods and white-meat dishes or a nice goat cheese.
