The 2018 Simes Pinot Noir is the second vintage produced from this premium BC winery. The Simes Vineyard is a uniquely north-facing with granite-based soils, both making it quite marginal and challenging. This leads to cool, fresh and bright Pinot Noir. The Martin’s Lane Pinot Noir from Simes Vineyard was aged in partial new Austrian oak. There’s some oak up front, but it becomes more transparent as it airs out. Decant for at least one hour to let it shine.
