Langhe Nebbiolo is Piedmont’s regional, entry level expression of the beloved Nebbiolo grape, which is renowned for the great wines of Barolo and Barbaresco. And while Langhe Nebbiolo can often times leave us underwhelmed, this bottling from the great De Forville estate punches well above it’s weight with structure and freshness we don’t always see. The Barbaresco-based De Forville are a multi-generational winemaking family known for producing quality wines and their Langhe Nebbiolo is no exception from their quality.
