LA COMARCAL DELMORO RED

Grape: 85% Garnacha and 15% Syrah

La Comarcal is a boutique wine project created by two of Spain’s rising-star winemakers, Javi Revert and Victor Marqués. Meaning “the District with aspirations to create youthful wines made from Valencian grape varieties harvested from high elevation sites. Good friends, they met each other while working together for ten years at the influential Valencian winery, Celler del Roure.
Herbs and spice on the nose. Red fruits and Mediterranean forest herbs, such as thyme and rosemary and hint of hay come through on the palate. The spicy background gives the wine a wonderful elegance and freshness, amongst floral notes which can also be found. Rustic, but seductive with a slightly balsamic finish.
Pairing: very food-friendly — poultry, pork and salmon.
