Trousseau
Tissot Trousseau Singulier is a monovarietal Trousseau red wine from the AOC Arbois produced by Domaine André et Mireille Tissot.
Domaine André et Mireille Tissot is a winery in Jura run by Bénédicte and Stéphane Tissot. It was founded in 1962 and has been cultivating its 35 hectares of vineyard, certified organic and biodynamic, for years. The winery is one of the benchmarks in the area. In total it produces some 28 references that seek to express the typical character of the grapes vinified and of their terroir.
The vineyards for Tissot Trousseau Singulier were planted between 1930 and 2002. They form five plots facing south and west. They are cultivated biodynamically and certified by Demeter, without using chemical products and are fertilised with compost produced by the winery itself. They are harvested manually in order to perform an initial selection of the best bunches in the field and to respect the grapes as much as possible when they are harvested and transported to the winery.
Aromas of rugged, woodsy fruit, create a foundation for lighter, fresher accents of small plums and cherry. The palate displays blackberry, raspberry, and cherry, along with a hint of orange peel. Showing the usual vibrant character but with the lush fruit
