HIEDLER ROSE

The Kamptal region of Austria lies just outside Vienna. Follow the River Kamp to Langenlois and you will soon find the family run Hiedler Winery with the 5th generation in the process of taking over the reins. Their rosé is predominantly Zweigelt, one of the most typical of Austrian red grapes. There is also the (surprise) slightest bit of Sangiovese added – it is surely not the norm to find Sangiovese in Austria! Light-hearted, like the first hopeful days of spring, this is a rose is refreshing and full of red fruits, berry, and apple aromatics.

This is a super adaptable wine that would pair with many food options. Try fried chicken, Cubano sandwiches, or even a berry salad!
