ZSIRAI OLASZRIZLING

Place: Somlo, Hungary

Hungary’s most planted grape, also known as Welschriesling in Austria, but it is NOT the same as Germany’s famed Riesling. This Olaszrizling is bright, dry, crisp and fresh, yet intense and extracted. Savoury, herbacious notes with kiwi, green apple to lemon and lime, with a touch of almond. It is sourced from top vineyards in the volcanic soills of the Somlo region.
Pairing: tossed greens, raw vegetables, seafood, and richer dishes.
